Welcome to my page! My name is Tori Nichols and I am a sophomore at UNC Chapel Hill. Here you can learn more about me and my life!

Born and raised in the small town of Reidsville, North Carolina, I was used to living in a small town with few opportunities. Now being able to call myself a Tar Heel, I have been exposed to the real beauty and freedom of the world, and appreciate the different people and cultures surrounding me every single day. I will always be thankful for my roots, but I am so excited to see where I end up next!

FAQS

What is my major?

I am a double major in Exercise and Sport Administration as well as Media and Journalism with a focus in Advertising and Public Relations.

What is your main goal/where do you see yourself in the future?

My main goal currently is to graduate with both of my degrees as well as a certificate in Sports Communication. I am still deciding on if I plan to attend grad school or not, but either way in the future I see myself working with social media for a professional sports company/team or working in sports broadcasting.

Why UNC?

Growing up I spent many weekends at UNC with my family, because my dad is a HUGE Tar Heel fan. I chose UNC because it felt like a second home for me, and I will be forever grateful that I did.

What made you want to work in the sports industry?

My high school football and basketball team were the pride of our city, and I went to every game that I could for both teams. Seeing how the community came together for these events and being a part of the energy provided by the fans is a feeling like no other. I love the environment, and the teamwork of sports, and I knew from the first high school football game I attended that I wanted sports to be a part of my future.
